Altara recently assisted in the rewrite of the Aerodrome Operations manual suite for Ayers Rock Airport. In addition, Altara continues to provide ongoing ad hoc assistance with these documents under a manual maintenance program.

Altara has now developed a new industry wide outsourced safety management programme. This programme will provide significant safety improvements and cost savings to the industry whilst providing a cost effective way for smaller operators to access safety management expertise.

Altara was awarded a contract to complete all Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) assessments on behalf of the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in late 2007. Under this arrangement Altara, under the guidance of CASA, were responsible for the initial regulatory assessment of all FAOC applications for foreign airlines wishing to operate into Australian territories.

Altara was awarded the contract to obtain an Australian Air Operators Certificate on behalf of Ascent Helicopters, a helicopter fire fighting company based in Canada. Altara managed the entire application on behalf of the operator.

Altara has been contracted since 2009 to provide manual amendment assistance to a number of Australian regional operators.

Altara has also recently developed a Chief Pilot interview preparation course. The course is designed to assist pilots who are about to undertake Civil Aviation Safety Authority assessment for Chief Pilot positions.
